Cao Shuo Festival x Wiggle Room x Chang Fang-Yu – The Light in the Heart

In her 1921 short story “A Haunted House”, Virginia Woolf describes a pair of ghosts wandering through a house in search of a long-lost treasure.

兀 is the doors that open and close on their own are the heartbeat of the house; an apple that slips from a ghost’s hand onto the attic floor is picked up by the living. The treasure is hidden throughout—reflected in the light through glass, or tucked into notes wedged between door cracks. Spirits and the living dwell together; finding the treasure breaks the spell and opens the path to the afterlife. The exhibition “The Light in the Heart” aims to present the spatial energy of Cao Shuo Festival’s studio, “Shakyfloor”, to Taipei Dangdai’s guests in an artful format, with the space opening to the public during the official fair period.

If you were a ghost seeking to break the spell, what would be written on your note? Amidst magical light, find your treasure within the curated books, write it on a note, and drop it into the “tree hole”—a space for safekeeping. (There are two options: public or private. Notes dropped into the private tree hole cannot be retrieved.)

Participants who are willing to share their treasure phrases may post them on social media, tagging @shakyfloor and @wiggleroom, for a chance to receive one of the exhibition pieces.

Special Event (VIP Only): May 9 — Guests who drop their treasure into the tree hole will receive a glass of natural wine.

Public Viewing: May 10 – May 16, 6:00pm – 11:00pm — Natural wine tasting available from 8:00pm to 11:00pm.

草率季 x Wiggle Room x 張方禹 The Light in the Heart 展覽

吳爾芙在1921年的短篇〈鬼屋〉（A Haunted House）裡描寫一對鬼魂穿梭房子，尋找過去的寶藏。

兀自開關的門是房子的心跳；從鬼魂手中滾落在閣樓地板的蘋果，由活人拾起。寶藏則各處駐留，化為玻璃折射出的光，或是夾在門縫的小紙條。人與鬼魂在此駐留，找到寶藏就可以解除咒語、面向來生。本次「The light in the Heart」展覽，期望將草率季工作室「Shakyfloor」的空間狀態以展覽的形式介紹給台北當代的貴賓，並在正式展期開放給所有人。

如果你是鬼魂，欲求解除咒語，那麼屬於你的紙條上會寫著什麼呢？在光線奇景中，於選書裡找尋屬於自己的寶藏，寫在紙條上，投入「樹洞」中，由我們好好收藏。（分為願意公開與不願意公開，後者的樹洞投入後就拿不出來了。）參與者如願意公開自己的寶藏字句，於社群發文tag shakyfloor 與 wiggle room，有機會獲得一支展品。

特殊活動日：5/9 僅限貴賓，參與將寶藏投入樹洞，即可換取一杯自然酒。

公眾開放：5/10 開幕至5/16 閉幕日 18:00~23:00，20:00-23:00 可品嚐本次的自然酒選品。
